Five minutes until the interview begins.
Fresh on the heels of her college graduation, Cameron Heart has landed an interview at a prestigious architecture firm.
Four minutes until the interview.
She knows she’s only there because the owner, Grayson Cole, is her older sister’s friend.
Three minutes.
For the last seven years, Grayson has been the most intimidating man Cammie has ever had the pleasure, or displeasure, of being around.
Two Minutes.
But the job opportunity is too good to pass up. So, Cammie will have to ignore the fact that Grayson is handsome enough to have his own national holiday.
One.
After all, she shouldn’t feel that way about her new boss. And, he will be her new boss.
…
“I’m not intimidated by you,” I said with a confident smile.
“Perhaps we should fix that, Ms. Heart. Close the door.”

2.5 Stars..... Disappointed:(OK, I was really looking forward to this book and what I was left with last night was nothing but a feeling of disappointment:( Honestly, this book HAD SO MUCH POTENTIAL too and I think THAT was as much of a disappointment as was Grayson and Cammie. This story started off good and went downhill fast. I had some scenarios already going through my head and wow, not a one came close to the way this story unfolded. The storyline could have been fantastic if the execution of the story played out differently for me, just my own thoughts personally.
I wished I had a POV from Grayson because his actions for at least 50% of the book, douchery, and when I need to read half the book and couple are not even intimate yet....he still acting like douche and she shamelessly and embarrassingly throwing herself at him.....BIG FAT TURN-OFF! I couldn't quite connect with him and Cammie, have some pride girl, I mean she was so desperate and I felt so bad for her as well as having that awful and yes, I mean ughhhh, awful roommate Hannah! This poor girl had not much going for her and I had wished she had been a bit stronger aside with having some pride in herself, even the "set-up" from her sister could have been done so differently and let Grayson see and realize how beautiful and great she is???? Ugh, I was so damn frustrated more than anything watching this train wreck...... Yeah, this was so hard to connect with, just my own personal feelings.
The ONE THING that had me swooning though WAS THE EPILOGUE and oh yeah, MORE EPILOGUE and I LOVED both of those!!!!! Thank goodness for the ending it was really, really great and the best part of the book:) I have enjoyed this author's writing in the past and hey, everyone has a hiccup now and then and this story was it for me. I will definitely continue to read her books in the future. This book did not hit the mark with me personally but that's ok, I am still a fan!

The Design edition by RS Grey Literature Fiction eBooks Reviews
4-4.5 stars. Cammie and Grayson's story was so much fun to read, maybe even more so than The Duet, although I loved Cammie and Grayson just as much as I did Brooklyn and Jason. Cammie is interviewing at Grayson's architecture firm for a position and although she gets the job, that doesn't mean she and Grayson are automatic BFFs. Cammie doesn't know why Grayson is so distant and cold to her after all these years but she's attracted to him nonetheless. It was already obvious from The Duet that Cammie has a great sense of humor, works hard and enjoys challenges. To her, Grayson is a challenge on top of the underlying chemistry. Cammie is very driven, too, she has a plan that she wants to stick with and this new job is a stepping stone towards that plan. Grayson seems harsh towards Cammie, but again, knowing him from the The Duet, he's a caring and considerate friend to Brooklyn and he has no problems with being honest. This isn't just an employee/boss romance, because Cammie and Grayson do have a history and Cammie isn't working directly with Grayson most of the time. To me, Cammie might have been motivated, but she also came off a little scattered and lost at times, partially due to the fact that Brooklyn has always been her support system and Cammie is eager to spread her wings and fly solo...hence, the plan. I thought Grayson would be the sort of guy to put Cammie off as long as possible and not break the rules ever, but Grayson surprised me with himself. Once he makes up his mind about something, he is in it 100%. I had wished that The Duet had more of Brooklyn and Jason after the Grammy awards and there was definitely glimpses of that in The Design. There's a party towards the end of the book for a special occasion and I was laughing out loud at the dialogue between Cammie and Grayson because the stuff they were saying was priceless as veiled insults towards one another. Grayson might have ignored Cammie for all those years, but that didn't mean he wasn't thinking about her from afar and Cammie was just so determined to be independent that she didn't realize she might have everything she needed at home, right where she was. Definitely an entertaining read.
Oh I really wanted and expected to like this book. The previous book The Duet was a 4+; but this one was a plain 3. Cammie had always had a crush on Grayson, so much that she chose her carrier based on his. Then the inappropriate behaviour starts, Cammie has an interview at Graysons architecture firm. During the interview Greyson (the boss) tells her he is attracted to her, but will not act on it. Then Cammie becomes annoying and childish. She has her dream job but it seems like she doesn’t really care about her carrier. All she want is to have sex with her boss. Grayson act childish to, bringing his girlfriend into the office for some lunch sex. He is the boss at at a major architecture firm, what about being professional? Of course he breaks up with his girlfriend after a while, so he can start having sex in his office with Cammie, with his secretary and the rest of his employees right outside the door. Cammie barges into his office whenever she feels like it and slams the door on the way out when she is not happy with him. Respect for her boss? The other employees apparently so focused in their work they don’t notice anything. I just can’t go on... there are just so much wrong with their relationship and the way they act. They are supposed to be grownups! -3
